Annabelle Pangborn

Annabelle Pangborn trained as a musician and composer at the London College of Music, and a filmmaker at the Royal College of Art. She has worked extensively in film and television as a composer and sound designer on award winning dramas, documentary, dance films and experimental animation, collaborating with directors Penny Woolcock (The Death of Klinghoffer), George Milton (The Truth; Appetite) Sarah Turner (Perestoika; Ecology), Beeban Kidron (Murder; Cinderella); Simon Pummell (Secret Joy of Falling Angels; Temptation of Sainthood; Butchers Hook); and Brian Percival (Pleasureland) among others. She is currently working with Ilya Khrzhanovskiy (4) on the hugely ambitious film and arts project DAU.Annabelle has been a guest speaker and Consultant for the School of Sound in London, Europe and Asia. She is a guest lecturer at Goldsmiths University, London; the University of Kent Canterbury; ifs International Filmschule, Cologne; ECITV, Cuba; the Binger FilmLab, Amsterdam; the Ghent University of the Arts and La Femis, Paris. She was Head of Editing, Sound and Music at the National Film & Television School, UK from 2006-2013, going on to become Head of Curriculum at the NFTS in 2012.
